## Milan photographs (`img/milan/`)

Three photographs, three photographers, three seasons. Left as they arrived they looked
like three stock pictures, so each one is cropped and graded to a single recipe held in
`tools/build-photos.py`: a small saturation cut, a light contrast lift and a shift toward
the warm end of the palette. The uncropped originals are kept outside the site, in
`design/photo-sources/`.

The two share-alike images are cropped and colour-corrected, which makes them derivative
works. They stay under the same licence, and the credit lines on the pages that use them
name the photographer and the licence.

What each crop is doing:

- **Porta Nuova**: full frame, the skyline read from the parks. The home hero and the
  poster of the film.
- **Darsena**: the left quarter of the original held a kiosk, graffiti and passers-by. The
crop starts past them, on the water, the moored boat and the waterfront façades.
- **Brera**: the original was mostly a bare winter tree against a grey sky. The crop drops
the sky entirely and keeps what the picture was really about: a Milanese façade, green
shutters, the trunk framing the left edge.

`-768`, `-1200`, `-1600`, `-1800`, `-2400` are widths in pixels. `-wide-*` is the 16:10
crop of the Brera façade.

## Review cards (`img/reviews/`): placeholders

These stock portraits illustrate the layout only. They do not depict Domovita customers
and must not be presented as endorsing the service. Replace them with customer-approved
photos, alongside authentic reviews, before publication.
